6-32b RARE POSTALLY USED 412 & 434 STAMPS AND COVERS. So scarce 412/434 expert Dan Ring suggested these stamps were never released for postal use (PPN 3rd Q. 1989). Also see IPPS "Cover of the Month", 4th Q. 1995). A modest number of collectors responded to Dan's article. Additional research suggests the following counts: 434 single used stamps, about 6 recorded (including Garrett, Ring & Oliver collections); 434 stamps on cover, about 10 (including Garrett, Ring & Oliver); 412 used stamps, 35-40. 412 on cover, less than 14; covers with both 412 & 434 franking, one known.
